Isaiah 1:16-18; Philippians 2:12-13

1. I will look for the good in you, you look for the good in me and let's get along.   Listen to understand, not respond.

2. I will admit I don't have all the answers, you admit you don't have all the answers, and we work together.   We put aside pride, be humble, and we talk.

3. I will speak my mind in a respectful manner, you speak your mind in a respectful manner, and we talk about where we disagree and come to an understanding.   Imagine how much better the world would be if we give this a try.

4. Our disagreements are no excuse to hate each other.   Just because we support different viewpoints, candidates, different religions, is no excuse for hatred.

5. We stop looking for differences, start looking for commonality, and build on that.   What would happen if all levels of government followed this?

6. We treat each other the way we want to be treated.   The Golden Rule is not an excuse to treat other people the way they treat me!

7. We love each other the way Jesus loves us.  Unconditionally. Totally. Deeply.

Is it really so hard to do?
